Hi Family and Friends,
Sorry for my absence. Caleb and I have been coping with a lot since the loss of my mom just over a month ago. We also are moving back to Bellingham! We're moving this weekend. So busy, busy.
And what a great day to update you all. Today is Baby Skurdal Sovereign's daddy's birthday! It's also Baby Skurdal Sovereign's Uncle Matt's birthday! Whoo hoo! Happy golden birthday to the boys! Oh- And yesterday was Graeson Picken's birth day as well. One of my closest friends, Dana Pickens gave birth to her second baby boy at 4:36am yesterday morning. Congrats Pickens Family! <3
On to baby stuff.... We are approaching the 20th week... the end of the 4th month. And since we are having the baby via c-section the last day of the 38th week, that means we only have.... 19 weeks and 3 days left to go! That means we have ONLY 4.5 months to go. Mind blowing how fast the time passes... and yet how slow at the same time.
So as we approach the 20th week, there are some Dr's appointments that are approaching as well. First, my second appointment with my new Bellingham OB, Dr. Russo on May 2nd. Who, by the way, thus far is much kinder and thoughtful than my last OB. Thank goodness!! And the other appointment is May 5th - to do an ultra sound, where we will be finding out the sex of this little baby! Very exciting!
Knowing the sex of the baby really helps us to mentally prepare for the baby and physically prepare our home as well. And we can refer to the baby by name instead of calling it "the baby".
It also allows us to send out invites for the baby shower! Yay! Those will be going out in May - but the shower isn't until July 16th. The shower will be in Washington- most likely in Sedro-Woolley or Bellingham at a park. So all you out of towners/staters will have time to make arrangements if you'd like to join us! :-)
Well, that's probably update enough for now. I will definitely update again next week, after the two doctors appointments. Until then...
